The plaid mini is doing the work here. A lace halter on its own can look like everyday lingerie; pairing it with a short pleated skirt is what makes it a costume. Worth knowing before you order: coverage is low. The top is a bra, the skirt is very short, and we haven't seen the back. If you want more fabric through the torso, this isn't the one.
