- Shirt collar and buttons - reads as a dress you could also wear open over a slip, though it's a dress on its own
- Self-tie belt - you set how cinched the waist sits before you leave
- Contrast hem band - stops the busy print running off the edge of the skirt
The hem band is the construction detail that keeps this from looking like a tablecloth with buttons. A full-bleed print to the edge can feel unfinished; the green band and the geometric border above it give the eye a stop. The collar and belt do the rest of the shirt-dress job, so it doesn't collapse into a tent. Worth knowing: it's a regular, not close, fit through the body, with volume in the skirt. If you want a bodycon midi, this isn't it. Coverage is modest at the hem and open at the neck if you undo a button.
