Design Details and Benefits
- Ruched waistband - gathers the fabric in one place so the skirt flares properly instead of pulling flat
- Ring straps - lets you set the strap length rather than living with a fixed one
The wrap-front bodice is the part worth paying attention to. Rather than a fixed cup shape, it ties at the waist so you set how snug the top sits before you ever get in the water, which is a lot more forgiving than a style that's cut once and fixed. The trade-off is that this is a swim dress, not a bikini, so if you want to sunbathe without the skirt this isn't the one. The eyelet border keeps the flared hem from reading plain, and the side slit means the fuller skirt still moves properly when you're walking rather than bunching around your legs.
