The lettering is doing the work, for better and worse. A plain crop and shorts would look like gym wear. Putting oversized letters on the chest and a second block on the hip makes it a holiday graphic set. The lettering is stylised rather than a clear slogan, so if you want a clean, unprinted co-ord this isn't the one. Wear it as a crop and shorts pairing; if you plan to swim, you'll want a bikini underneath.
