A lot of crochet-look pieces in this shape use a flat, single-texture knit throughout, so working a raised swirl pattern on top gives it depth you can actually see in a photo, not just up close. Worth knowing before you order: both pieces are cropped and fitted, so if you want more coverage through the midriff this isn't the set.
